Balloon Adventure

Hot-air balloon flights on ropes were organized in 4 towns in Romania: on 6 September 2017 in Drobeta Turnu Severin, Mehedinti County, on 8  September 2017 in Craiova, Dolj County, on 09 September  2017 Calafat, Dolj County and on 10 September  2017, Bailesti, Dolj County. During these tourist attractions more than 450 citizens attend the events and enjoy the tethered flights.

People were enthusiastic about the opportunity to get on a balloon. All attendees were informed of the project and the INTERREG V-A program.

ARIES Oltenia organized 2 workshops with stakeholders aimed at discussion on tourism offers based on the newly created tourism product, which took place in Drobeta Turnu Severin, Mehedinti County and Craiova, Dolj County in the period 5-8 September 2017.

The workshops in Craiova and Drobeta Turnu Severin were attended by local stakeholders including representatives of municipalities and representatives of tourism branch, as well as organizers of event. During the workshops the attendees were acquainted with project goals and marketing strategy for promotion of the new tourism product.

The citizens have the chance to witness tethered flights and to enjoy the experience by getting on the balloon. Also they were informed on the project and INTERREG V-A program.
